WHEN DOES THE ACETONE LEVEL CORRELATE BEST
WITH THE BLOOD LEVEL?
The results between blood and acetone values can vary
depending on each person's metabolism or situation.
Under the assumption that the user of the ACE KETO
SCAN mini regularely produces and keeps his ketone
energy at a constant rate, then the acetone levels can
correlate well with his blood levels. If the user changes
the situation such as through intensive exercise, the re
sults could be different.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE A CORRELATION
BETWEEN ACETONE AND BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS
WITH THE KETOSCAN MINI?
The KETOSCAN mini is not a medical device, therefore
it is not possible to use it for treatment purposes. Any
possible connection between blood glucose and ace
tone in the breath would first have to be investigated by
comprehensive clinical studies.
CAN THE ACE KETOSCAN MINI ALSO BE USED
WITHOUT THE APP?
Yes, the device can also be used without the app. In this
case the measured value is shown on the display of the
ACE KETOSCAN mini.
WHAT IS THE SENSOR CONDITIONING TEST MODE?
Before entering the measurement mode, ACE KETO
SCAN mini may start a Sensor Conditioning Test. If re
quired the device will request a breath sample which
will be used as reference during the dignostics. The
Sensor Conditioning Test is operated automatically to
maintain the accuracy of the ACE KETOSCAN mini. It is
not a malfunction or a performance degradation.
