DO I HAVE TO WAIT AFTER EATING/DRINKING?
IF SO, HOW LONG?
Wait at least 30 minutes before performing a ketosis
test. Do not eat, drink, smoke or clean your teeth during
this time.
HOW CAN I GET THE MOST ACCURATE TEST RESULTS?
It is important to breathe into the unit correctly. We re
commend not taking a large breath just before blowing.
Instead, take a regular breath just before blowing and
hold it for two seconds. Then, start to blow. Try to blow
the same way each time you take the test.
DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE DISPOSABLE MOUTHPIECE
FOR EVERY TEST?
If you're the only person who uses the unit, you can
use the builtin mouthpiece slot each time. If multiple
users are using the unit, then change the mouthpiece
for each user.
WHY IS THE UNIT SHOWING MY BREATH IS NOT
SUFFICIENT?
First of all, make sure you have the KETOSCAN app
downloaded and paired to your unit and follow the on
screen instructions. The app will guide you on how and
when to blow. When you begin blowing you will hear a
starting beep. Continue blowing for approximately three
seconds until you hear a double beep. The double beep
indicates you can stop blowing. If you are still getting
this message, try blowing harder into the mouthpiece
like you would if you were blowing up a balloon.
