WHEN AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD THE KETOSIS TEST
BE PERFORMED?
Directly in the morning after getting up, the ketone bo
dies are usually relatively low. This is due to the natural
increase in cortisol and the associated rise in blood su
gar. Therefore, the best time to take the test is later in
the morning, or at least before you have had breakfast.
The frequency is at individual discretion. Note: In the
case of ketoadapted athletes, a very strong increase in
blood sugar is often noticeable after training.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEASURING KETOSIS?
Ketosis is a form of nutrition and not necessarily a diet,
although it can also be done as a diet. Many people use
ketosis because of its many benefits. However, these
only occur when the body produces enough ketone bo
dies. Ketosis is measured when you want to achieve the
following benefits:
» Overweight people lose a lot of weight.
» Diabetics benefit from greatly improved blood sugar
control and can often even stop taking their medi
cation.
» Epileptics experience a strong reduction in epileptic
seizures
» Concentration increases, fatigue phases are redu
ced and endurance during sports is increased.
» Due to a higher production of endorphins you are in
a better mood.
» Hunger and appetite are reduced.
