Timer function
You can use the timer function as a timer or a
cooking time limiter for one or more cooking
zones.
The maximum timer setting is 99 min-
utes.
Use as a timer
The hob must be switched on for you to
use the timer.

1. Touch the timer sensor (10).

' will appear on the display with the nu-

meral '0' flashing.
2. Touch the '+' or '-' sensor to increase or
decrease the alarm time by one minute.
If you touch the '+' or '-' sensor and then
press and hold it, the alarm time will change
in increments of 10 minutes.
The countdown automatically begins after
setting the alarm time.
The time display will stop flashing after ap-
prox. 5 seconds.
Changing the alarm time
• Touch the timer sensor (10).
The minutes remaining flash on the display
for a few seconds.
While the display is flashing, the setting
can be changed as described in the Sec-
tion "Setting the alarm time" see "Setting
the alarm time" on page EN-17).

• Touch the '+' and '-' sensors simultane-
ously in order to cancel the countdown.
'00' will appear on the display. The count-
down is interrupted.
Use as a cooking time limit
To use the timer as a cooking time limit,
the appliance must be switched on and

the selected cooking zone(s) must be in op-

eration.
Notes on cooking time limit
– You can set cooking time limits for all cook-
ing zones.
– If you have activated a cooking time limit
for several cooking zones, the red dot on
the heating level display of the cooking
zone flashes with the shortest cooking time
limit setting.
– Once the cooking time limit for a cooking
zone is reached, this cooking zone auto-
matically switches off.
– If all cooking zones are switched off, the
hob will also switch off automatically after
a few seconds.
