Cooking zones and sensors
Switching off individual
cooking zones
1. Touch the slider sensor for the cooking
zone which you would like to switch off.
2. Touch the corresponding slider sensor at
the left end or swipe your finger left over
the slider sensor until the heat setting dis-
play '0' appears.

CAUTION
Risk of burns!
Always switch off a cooking zone
using the corresponding slider sen-
sor; never by removing the cookware
from the cooking zone. Otherwise,
the cooking zone will be reactivated
as soon as a pot or other object made
of ferromagnetic metal is placed on
top.
Do not place objects on cooking zones
that are not switched off. There is a
risk that the cooking zone could be
activated and the object heated.
Automatic protection settings
The hob has a range of protection settings
that warn of danger and protect the appliance
from damage.
Residual heat display
During cooking, the heat from the pot is trans-
ferred to the glass ceramic and the cooking
zone becomes hot. If you switch off the cook-
ing zone or the entire hob, the residual heat
symbol '

If the temperature of the cooking zone falls

Automatic reduction in performance
The temperature of the electronic elements
inside the hob are constantly monitored. If the
heat increases too much, the hob is automat-
ically switched off.
Switching the hob off
• To switch the entire hob off, touch the on/
off sensor (9).
An acoustic signal will sound. All light dis-
plays, including the flashing residual heat
symbols 'H' will go out.
