our "uWd 33.1 haKs" (hand-wound with a small seconds hand) developed in 2014 marks
the revival of movement manufacturing in Germany. for the first time in decades, the
development of a proprietary brand was not the main reason behind the establishment of
the uhren-Werke-dresden. the intention was rather to pass on our know-how to partners who
share our high quality standards and intrinsic values.
it is an honour to be able to enter into such a symbiotic relationship with sinn spezialuhren zu
frankfurt am Main. after all, for many years now, the name sinn spezialuhren zu frankfurt am
Main has stood for reliability, precision and, above all, a deeply rooted tradition reflected in
an honest price–performance ratio.
such virtues have also been incorporated into our movement: both reserved and modest in
keeping with the times, yet a real eye-catcher for technically minded watch lovers. the cock
construction offers a clear view of the train wheel. the newly developed precision adjustment
mechanism also allows for precision adjustment of the rate symmetry. the balance wheel
with eccentric poising weights enables the watchmaker to adjust the watch in the various
positions with the utmost precision. and finally, thanks to the "flying" barrel, the overall
construction height can be kept low despite the solid and stable design of the movement.
While the use of a modern nickel-silver alloy called arCaP presents us with even greater
challenges during production due to its higher strength and greater resistance to oxidisation,
it also eliminates the need for electroplating.
and on the subject of production, we expertly produce and finish virtually all of the more
than 120 movement components – right down to the last screw. We are thus proud to be
a part of the Meisterbund cooperation with sinn spezialuhren zu frankfurt am Main and
sächsische uhrentechnologie Gmbh Glashütte, the result of which you are now holding in
your hands.
