4.1.3 Fork sleeves (optional)

In order to connect the forklift truck and the fork sleeve (3), the forklift truck forks (1) are inserted into
the fork sleeve (3).
The forks (1) are locked either by using the locking screws (2), which are inserted through a hole in the
forks (1), or by using a chain or rope, which must be placed through the eyelet on the fork sleeve (3)
and around the fork carrier ().
This connection must be made, otherwise the fork sleeve may slip off the forklift forks during forklift
handling. DANGER OF ACCIDENT!
5 Operation
5.1

Device operation

•
Connect the device to the lifting gear (forklift). The lifting gear must be adapted to the required load-bearing
capacity (WLL) of the device (KIG)!
•
Insert the device from above into the gripping material (shaft cone) until the rectangular tube rests [completely],
making sure that no step irons are in the way!
•
As soon as the rectangular tube rests on the gripping material and the device (KIG) is unloaded, the automatic
changing device unlocks.
•
Lift the unit; it opens and the oscillating gripper jaws contact the load from the inside. The load can thus be lifted.
•
Carefully transport the load to its destination!
•
When lowering the load again, the unit must be lowered until the rectangular tube rests on the load and the unit
(KIG) is unloaded again.
•
The automatic changing device then locks automatically and the device can be extended upwards again.
