Is used to warn of immediate hazards that will cause severe personal injury or death.

Is used to call attention to a situation that could cause minor personal injury or damage to the machine or other property.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Specifi c Cautions and Warnings are included to warn you of potential danger of machine damage or bodily harm. The manufacturer accepts no liability for
personal injury or damage to property due to the incorrect use of this machine.
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
WARNING!
To reduce risk of fi re, electric shock, or injury:
* This machine should only be used by properly trained and authorized persons.
* Do not leave the appliance when it is plugged in. Unplug the machine from the power source during cleaning, maintenance and when replacing
parts.
* This machine is for dry use only and shall not be used or stored outdoors.
* To avoid electric shock, do not expose to rain. Store indoors.
* Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
* Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
* Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water,
return it to a service center.
* Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on a cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not allow the supply cord
to come into contact with the rotating brushes or pads.. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
* Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
* Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
* Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air fl ow.
* Keep hair, loose clothing, fi ngers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
* Turn off all controls before unplugging.
* Do not use with fl ammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may be present.
* All doors and covers are to be positioned as indicated in the instruction manual before using the machine.
* Only use the brushes provided with the appliance or those specifi ed in the instruction manual. The use of other brushes may impair safety.
* When operating this machine, ensure that third parties, particularly children, are not endangered.
* Before performing any service function, carefully read all instructions pertaining to that function.
* When using cleaning and care agents, the manufacturer's danger warnings must be followed and protective goggles and clothing must be worn.
* Only use low-foaming, non-combustible cleaning agents which do not contain hazardous substances.
* Do not operate this machine on ramps or inclines of more than a 2 percent gradient or on steps.
