6.4 How the backwash valves work

In the private swimming pool sector, filter pumps should run for approx. 10 hours every day.
The pool water must be circulated roughly twice within this time.
You can distribute the running time throughout the day.
Valve setting
Function
Filter
In this position, the pool water is directed from top to bottom
through the filter tank.
– Normal filter process –
Drain
The filter tank is bypassed. The pool water is directed into the
(6-way valve only)
sewer via the valve.
Closed
Flow is interrupted for all water paths. Choose this function
(6-way valve only)
for maintenance works.
Important! Do not switch on the pump!
Backwash
The pool water is directed in the opposite direction, through
the filter tank from bottom to top, in order to clean the bulk on
the filter. The pool water is directed into the sewer through the
valve.
Circulate
The filter tank is bypassed. The pool water is directed back
(6-way valve only)
into the pool via the valve. Choose this function when heating
up the freshly filled pool water for the first time.
Rinse
The pool water is directed from top to bottom through the
(6-way valve only)
filter tank to remove fine particles loosened during
backwashing. The pool water is directed into the sewer
through the valve.
NOTE
The backwash valve must only be operated when the pump is switched off.
When changing the position of the valve, the lever must always be pushed down
completely.
