2.12 Personal protective equipment

Wearing personal protective equipment while working is required in order to minimise health risks.
•
Wear the protective equipment required for the work in question at all times while working.
•
Follow any signs in the work area regarding personal protective equipment.

2.13 Fundamental dangers

In the following section, residual risks resulting from the risk assessment are named.
The safety instructions listed here and the warnings in the other chapters of this manual must be observed
to reduce health risks and avoid dangerous situations.

2.14 What to do in the event of danger or accidents

In the event of an emergency: What to do
•
Immediately shut the system down and disconnect it from the power supply.
•
If you are not in danger yourself, rescue people from the danger zone.
•
Initiate first-aid measures.
•
Alert doctor and/or fire department.
•
Inform the person in charge at the place of use.
•
Clear access routes for emergency vehicles.

Protective clothing
Wear close-fitting work clothing with low tensile strength, tight sleeves and
without protruding parts for all work.
Do not wear rings, chains or any other jewellery.
Safety boots
For protection against heavy, falling items, and against slipping on slippery
ground.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Risk of death due to the electric current!
There is an immediate risk of death when touching live parts. Damage to the
insulation or individual components may be life-threatening.
•
If there is damage to the insulation, immediately switch off the power
supply and arrange for it to be repaired.
•
Work on the electrical systems may only be carried out
by electricians.
•
Whenever work is carried out on the electrical system, it must be
disconnected and checked to ensure that it is off.
•
Switch off the power supply before carrying out any maintenance,
cleaning or repair works and secure it against being switched back on
again.
•
Do not bypass or disable safeguards.
