STITCH FORMATION AND
THREAD TENSION
Set the needle thread tension to be light enough to
maintain a needle loop at the tip of the needle on
half the length of one stitch.
There should be approximately 9 ounces (2.5N) of
needle thread tension at the needle thread tension
assembly and 2.5 ounces (0.7N) of looper thread
tension at the looper thread
tension assembly.
Use just enough needle thread strike-off to be set
with the "U"-shaped needle thread control eyelet to
form an adequate needle loop.
THREAD CHAIN CUTTER
SETTING (OPTIONAL)
The stationary knife is mounted to the throat plate. The
movable knife tip should be positioned so its cutting
edge has a gap to the cutting edge of the stationary knife
by .012" to .020" (0.3 to 0.5mm) when in cutting position.
STICHBILDUNG UND FADEN-
SPANNUNG
Stellen Sie die Nadelfadenspannung so ein, dass
bei Bildung einer halben Stichlänge eine ausrei-
chend große Nadelfadenschlinge an der Nadel-
spitze gebildet wird.
Die Nadelfadenspannung an der Nadelfaden-
Spanneinrichtung beträgt ca. 2,5 N (9 ounces), die
Greiferfadenspannung an der Greiferfaden-Span-
neinrichtung ca. 0,7 N (2,5 ounces).
Ziehen Sie nur so viel Nadelfaden mit dem „U"-förmi-
gen Nadelfadenbügel ab, dass eine ausreichend
große Nadelfadenschlinge gebildet wird.
FADENKETTENABSCHNEIDER-
EINSTELLUNG (OPTIONAL)
Das feststehende Messer ist and der Stichplatte
montiert. Die bewegliche Messerspitze sollte so
positioniert sein, dass ihre Schneidkante einen
Abstand zur Schneidkante des feststehenden
Messers von 0,3 bis 0,5 mm in der Schneidposition
aufweist.
