2. Time setting for watches with screw crown
1. Unscrew crown by turning in an anti-clockwise direction.
2. To set the time. Pull out crown to position (2) and turn crown in either direction
until hour/minute hands are at the correct time.
3. To push the crown into position (O) lock the screw crown on by pushing and
turning in a clockwise direction until tight.
Please note that your watch is only waterresistant if the crown is properly screwed
on!
3. Avoid high temperatures
Please avoid leaving your watch in direct sunlight or at very warm locations for long
periods. This could cause the watch to malfunction (and shorten the Iife of the bat-
tery of quartz watches). Neither should you leave your watch in very cold locations
for long periods. This could cause the watch to go faster or slower. Put your watch
back on so as to restore its original accuracy if it starts to go fast or slow.
4. Avoid damp environments
Do not use the buttons if the watch is wet or damp.
5. Avoid heavy impacts
This watch is able to withstand all impacts normally occurring during play or sport.
However, you should avoid dropping your watch on the ground or exposing it to
excessive shocks in other ways.

6. Avoid strong magnetic fields
Keep your watch out of the direct area of strong magnetic fields. In general how -
ever, the function of your watch is not impaired by the magnetic fields emitted by
domestic appliances, TV sets or stereo equipment.
7. Avoid strong chemicals, solvents and gases
Do not wear your watch in the vicinity of strong chemicals, solvents or noxious
gases. If your watch comes into contact with substances containing petrol, paint
thinners, alcohols, cosmetic sprays, nail varnish, nail varnish removers, adhesives,
paints or paint strippers, this could impair the quality of or damage the case, strap,
bracelet or other components of the watch.
8. Keep your watch clean
Use a soft, clean cloth to wipe off all traces of water and moisture on the case, glass,
strap or bracelet. Dirt of any type on the case, strap or bracelet could result in slight
skin rashes. A watch bracelet or strap accumulates slight dirt as the result of de -
posited perspiration and dust since it is constantly in contact with the skin.
Even a stainless steel or gold-plated bracelet could start to corrode if it is not
cleaned for long periods.
