Radio mode
Note:
This function is only available if the
"PRSTSCAN" setting has been
selected for the

chapter).
Starting the scan
f Press the

"PRSTSCAN" briefly appears on the display.
Each station saved in the current memory bank
is played for about 5 seconds. At the same
time, the display shows the current frequency
or the station name.
Stopping scan

The scan process is stopped. The device
remains tuned to the previously played station.
Scanning receivable stations
(BANDSCAN)
This function allows you to scan all receivable
stations for about 5 seconds each.

Starting the scan

The device searches for stations in the current
waveband. Every station found is played for
about 5 seconds. At the same time, the display
shows the current frequency or the station
name.
Stopping scan

The scan process is stopped. The device
remains tuned to the station last played.
Switching radio text on/off
(RADIOTXT)
An FM station may broadcast RDS radio text.
To activate or deactivate the displaying of radio
text,
f first switch to FM radio mode, if neces-
sary.
f Press the MENU 5 button to open the
menu.
f Press the MENU 5 button repeatedly
until "RADIOTXT" appears on the display
followed by the current setting "TEXT ON"
or "TEXT OFF".
f Turn the volume control 1 counterclock-
wise or clockwise to change between the
settings.
f Press the MENU 5 button, repeatedly if
necessary, to close the menu.
Program type (PTY)
Besides transmitting the station name, some
FM stations also provide information on the
