3. Appliance description
The appliance only warms the air slightly. It is only when it hits objects or the human body that the IR radiation is converted
into heat. You will feel the heat after just a few seconds. The appliance therefore provides energy-saving heat, which is avail-
able quickly and on demand at any time.
The appliance if made completely from stainless steel. You can subject this appliance to normal environmental influences.

4. operation

Subject to installation, you can switch this appliance on and off via a standard or a dimmer switch.
5. cleaning, care and maintenance
never spray the appliance with water. never immerse the appliance in water.
never touch the quartz rods with your fingers, otherwise spots can form or the quartz rods might be destroyed.
» Isolate the appliance from the power supply and let it cool down.
» A damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning the casing. Never use abrasive or solvent-based cleaning agents. Go over with a
soft cloth.
» Clean the reflector regularly through the grille using a paint brush. If the reflector is severely soiled, arrange for it to be
cleaned by a contractor to retain the full heat radiation of the appliance.
The heating tubes (gold tubes) have a maximum service life of approx. 5000 hours. This service life is subject to the operating
conditions, e.g. relative humidity, switching frequency or orientation of the radiant heater.
6. What to do if ...
6.1 ... you notice a smell
º For a short time after first taking the appliance into use as well as after longer breaks in use, a smell may develop.
6.2 ... the appliance does not radiate any heat
º Check whether the fuses/MCBs have blown/tripped or are faulty.
If you cannot remedy the fault, notify your heating contractor. To facilitate and speed up your enquiry, please provide the
