Maintenance and care

Before the first use
Before using the machine the first time check all
major screw and plug connections if they are tight,
for example:
•
attachment of the wheels and tires
•
attachment of the hydraulic cylinder
•
the pins, forks and locking screws
•
the clamp connections
After the first 10 hours retighten all the screws and
nuts!
Please remove drawn-in wires, cords and crop
residues immediately!
Maintenance and care
For maintenance and service work place the machine
on solid, level ground and secure it to prevent it
rolling away. Analyze damage and chafing damage.
Detected damage must be repaired immediately.
Before working on the electric system isolate it from
the power supply. Check the lightning system
regularly if it' s functional. After cleaning the machine
check each hydraulic line for leaks and loose
connections and also lubricate all the lubricating
points to force out any trapped water. Retighten any
loose screw connections. Don' t clean new machines
with a high-pressure-cleaner or a steam-cleaner
because the paint needs 3 months to harden.
Hydraulic system
The hydraulic system is under high pressure. Make
sure that the hydraulic system is depressurized
before working on it. Escaping oil under high
pressure can penetrate the skin and can cause very
serious injuries. In case of injury, seek medical
attendance or a doctor immediately!
The operation of the hydraulic system requires
special caution. Operating errors can lead to
disadvantages to man and machine!
Lubrication
The ball bearings, the folding hinges and the
pendulum elements must be greased every 10 hours
with high pressure grease. The grease nipples on the
ball bearings are accessible from below.
At each end of the roll axis is a ball bearing which
must be lubricated. The ball joints and the moving
parts of the hydraulic folding have to be oiled
regularly.
After the season
Perform a complete and thorough cleaning, after that
grease all lubrication points. Check the machine
completely for wastage and damage. Replace missing
or worn parts immediately and fix damages in the
paintwork. Check all screw connections and retighten
loose screws. Place the machine on dry, flat, solid
underground and protect it from the weather. Secure
it against rolling and falling over. Protect the machine
and the hydraulic cylinders against rust. Use only
biological oils to spray, such as rapeseed oil. Don' t
spray oil or corrosion inhibitors at plastic and rubber
parts. The parts can become brittle and break.
