3. Important Advices

The installation needs generally to be executed by an electrically qualified person.
Based on regulations of national standards like DIN-VDE. Warranty will become effect-
less in case of inobservance. Disconnect mains from energy supply ahead of thermostat
installation, check or replacement. Flush mouting termination boxes of plastic need
to be employed for thermostat wall assembly. Please ensure, that corrugated hose for
sensor insertion is never kinked or pinched. Easy replacement should be allowed!
4. External Sensor Installation
The sensor cable requires an installation in a separate corrugated hose acc. EN 61386-1.
Place the floor sensor centric between two heating cables. Minimum distance to
heating cable should be 20 mm! Guide the lead-in cable (cold leads) of heating system
laterally alongside without touching/crossing heating system up to connection box.
The corrugated hose allows an easy change of floor temperature sensor.
Required is basically a fuse (10/16A) for the energy supply together with an earth
leakage current braker (30mA). Ensure ahead of installation of corrugated hose
(Ø16 mm) and again ahead of dispersing floor pavement, that the sensor is properly
inserted, and allows easy movement.
The sensor cable allows an extension up to 50 meters. In case of utilizing a multicore
cable never employ unaligned, insulated leads for energy supply or measuring lead.
This avoids any kind of mutual influence and measuring divergences. In case of
shielded cable in the bundle, shielded cable should not be connected to the terminal.
It is recommended not to use extension cables and bushes together with other electric
equipment.
