INSTALLATION OF
FLOORTEMPERATURE SENSOR
The floortemperature sensor needs to be inserted in a
ductwork (Ø16 mm) according to EN 61386-1. The sen-
soring point needs to be positioned centrical between
two heating cable runs. Distance to heating cable:
20 mm. Choose position for placing thermostat
"MCS-450 Touch". Avoid touching of sensor with hea-
ting system. Install a terminal box for flush mounting.
Lead cable for energy supply of thermostat into this
box. Cable type: E.g. NYM-J, 3 x 1.5 mm², acc. to EN
13501-6 and EN 60032-1-2. This connection requires a
separate fuse for nominal current 10/16 A (depending
on system size) and earth leakage current braker (LCB)
with 30 mA release current. During Installation the
ductwork should not be kinked or pressed. The sensor
should be able to move easily.
WALL ASSEMBLY OF THERMOSTATE
Set the energy supply to
power-off. Separate the
backside of the thermos-
tat from display.
Observe the advice as
shown in WIRING and
CONNECTION HEATING
SYSTEMS.
Insert the backside into
termination box.

Utilize the screws which
come together with the
unit for installing the
backside on the wall.
Position the front part
(LCD-display) back on the
backside and latch.
The installation is finis-
hed.

WIRING OF THERMOSTAT

Check the technical data indicated on the product as
well as at the situation at site. Check, if the product is
appropriate for planned operation. Ahead of installation
shut off energy supply. Same procedure for replacement.
Further check, if only one or more heating units be
connected to the thermostat. One heating unit can be
directly connected. In case of two or more an additional
flush mounting termination box needs to be placed.
Into this box, all cold lead-ins are lead and connected
to energy supply cable. Mind colours and polarity. Size
of termination box: 60 mm or 80 mm. Switch on energy
supply for identification of phase (brown) and neutral
(blue) on the energy lead. Start connection of heating
unit (single) or connection cable from termination box.
Ensure that energy is turned off. Fix phase on terminal 3,
neutral on 4. Heating unit or connection cable on termi-
nals 1 and 2. Temperature sensor on terminals 5 and 6 (no
polarity). Earth lead (green/yellow) of heating system/
connection cable connect via terminal block directly to
earth lead of energy supply (not part of supply).
