Calling up the menu for the settings
Call at the device,...
briefly press the "Menu" key (17)
at the remote control
briefly press the "Menu" key (25)
• To exit the menu press the menu key and keep it pressed for about 2 seconds. The
screen representation changes to the playback mode.
Settings
First, switch on the device via the on/off switch (7).
To define the basic settings of your quad processor change to the screen menu of
the device.
To get to the menu, briefly press the menu key (17) of the device or the menu
key (25) of the remote control.
Within this menu you can switch between the functions via the up (14)/down
(16), "+" (9), "-" (10) keys (or the keys 22, 28, 24, 26 of the remote control).
Setting the channel names:
Select the "Title Setup" entry via the up/down keys and confirm your selection via
the menu key.
• Use the up/down/"+"/"-" keys to select the position and the corresponding cha-
racter. 8 characters are provided for each of the 4 channels.
To save your entries and to exit this function press the menu key and keep it pressed
for about 2 seconds. The screen representation changes to the playback mode.
Setting the date and time:
Select the "Date/Time" entry via the up/down keys and confirm your selection via the
menu key.
• Use the up/down/"+"/"-" keys to select the date and time values now.
• Determine the kind of representation of the date via the "Type" entry. Two options
are available: YY-MM-DD (year-month-day) or MM-DD-YY (month-day-year)
• Use the "+" and "-" keys under Date/Time On/off to turn off the display of the date
and time.
To save your entries and to exit this function press the menu key and keep it pressed
for about 2 seconds. The screen representation changes to the playback mode.

Setting the brightness, contrast, colour saturation and hue:
Select the "Decoder Setup" entry via the up/down keys and confirm your selection
via the menu key.
Now, you can set the values separately for each of the 4 channels to achieve an opti-
mum representation:
• Select the value to be changed via the up/down keys.
• Use the "+"/"-" keys to change the selected value.
Brightness
in 64 steps from 0 (dark) to 63 (bright)
Contrast
in 64 steps from 0 (low) to 63 (high contrast)
Colour saturation
in 64 steps from 0 (low) to 63 (high saturation)
Set hue
in 64 steps from 0 (more red) to 63 (more blue)
To save your entries and to exit this function press the menu key and keep it pressed
for about 2 seconds. The screen representation changes to the playback mode.
Setting the motion detection and sensitivity:
The automatic motion detection automatically changes a video channel in which a
motion has been detected to the full-frame size.
For further information on the motion detection refer to "General
Operation, Selecting the quartered, simultaneous representation of
all 4 input channels".
Select the "Sensitivity" entry via the up/down keys and confirm your selection by
pressing the menu key.
Now, you can set the sensitivity of the automatic motion detection separately for each
of the 4 channels. For this function, 7 sensitivity degrees and "out" are available. "7"
stands for the highest sensitivity.
• Select the channel to be set via the up/down keys.
• Use the "+"/"-" keys to adjust the sensitivity of the channel selected.
To save your entries and to exit this function press the menu key and keep it pressed
for about 2 seconds. The screen representation changes to the playback mode.
