CAUTION HOT SURFACE
The cooking pot and lid are often very hot. Be careful when touching hot surfaces to avoid burns.
Do not place the appliance on a flammable surface.
To avoid getting scalded by escaping steam when lifting the glass lid, always lift it carefully away
from you. Dripping water must never flow into the interior of the appliance.
Do not use the appliance near or on surfaces that are sensitive to heat or those that can be
damaged by steam.
When the appliance is in operation, the temperature of accessible surfaces may be higher. Do not
touch the heated surface, otherwise burns may occur.
Do not move the hot appliance. You can burn yourself with hot food or liquid.
Allow the appliance to cool completely before transporting and storing.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE POWER CABLE
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not attempt to modify the cable connector in any way. The
length of the power cord reduces the risk of entanglement or tripping over the power cord.
DO NOT USE THIS DEVICE WITH AN EXTENSION CORD.
Connect the power cord directly to a 230 V power outlet only.
PREPARATION BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove all packaging, stickers and labels.
Wash the inner cooking pot and glass lid with warm, soapy water. Then rinse them with clean
water and dry them thoroughly.
Make sure the inside of the appliance body is clean and free of dirt.
A slight smoke and odor may appear during the first use of the appliance. This is a common condition
with all heating devices and will disappear after a few uses.
FIRST USE
To preserve the ceramic non-stick coating of the inner cooking pot for as long as possible, do not use
sharp or metal objects inside the cooking pot. We recommend using wooden, silicone or plastic kitchen
utensils.
