16. Troubleshooting of supervision inside you trailer.
16.1 Check the following if you do not receive any picture (black display)
1. That the LCD-monitor is switched on.
Action: Use the ON/OFF button on the right side of the LCD-monitor to switch the monitor ON.
2. That the LCD-monitor battery is charged.
Action: Use the ON/OFF button on the right side of the LCD-monitor to switch the monitor ON.
If you do not receive any picture, connect the LCD-monitor to the 5V cigarette adaptor.
3. That the LCD-monitor is thoroughly connected to the 5V cigarette adaptor.
Action: Make sure that the cigarette adaptor is thoroughly installed in the cigarette lighter
socket and that the cable is thoroughly connected the LCD-monitor power socket marked with
DC 5V IN.
16.2 Check the following if you do not receive any picture (black & white
interferences)
1. That the black camera antenna (2dBi) is attached to the back of the camera.
Action: Make sure that the black camera antenna (2dBi) is attached to the back of the camera.
2. That power is running through the 12V trailer power cable (does the red light on the
adaptor box illuminate?).
Action: If the red LED does not illuminate, make sure that you have connected the white-
striped horse shoe joint to the plus pole (+) of the power source and the all black cable to the
minus pole (-), if not, switch places on the cables. If you have connected them correctly, start
your car and turn the car light on.
3. That the LCD-monitor is set to the correct channel.
Action: Change the channel by pressing the channel selector button on the front of the LCD-
monitor.
4. That the 12V trailer power cable is thoroughly connected to the camera.
Action: Inspect the joint between he 12V power trailer cable and the camera.
5. That you have started your car and turned on the lights.
Action: Start your car and turn on the lights.
6. That there is enough power in the interior light.
On some trailer models the interior light power source is not strong enough to feed both the
camera and the light bulb simultaneously. If you have problems getting your camera to work
with the interior light, turn off the light switch and/or start the car engine. If you experience
problems with the interior light as a power source we recommend you to use another suitable
power source, such as the rear light.
