The status LED indicates the operating status of the BMW SIM Reader.

Ready for connection:
SIM card inserted and
battery level sufficient and
Bluetooth ready for connection
battery level very low or
connection with Infotainment
system has failed or
SIM card damaged or
bad electrical contact between
SIM card and BMW SIM Reader
or
BMW SIM Reader out of
Bluetooth range of the vehicle or
failure of BMW SIM Reader
Bluetooth connection active
Bluetooth connection pairing mode
active
Recommended actions
remove and insert the SIM card
clean the SIM card slot with
compressed air, for example
clean the SIM card contacts
with alcohol (40% solution of
alcohol and an antistatic cloth)
replace the battery
contact your BMW dealership
