There is a risk of smouldering in the event of heat accumulation. The device
must not be covered with fabrics, hay, etc. during operation, as this may result
in heat accumulation and possibly fire.
As soon as the heating plate is switched on, the green LED lights up.
During the warm-up phase, the red LED also lights up. When the operating temperature is reached,
it switches off.
4. To switch the heating plate off again, disconnect the device from the power supply. Remove the
mains adapter from the socket when not in use.

THE RIGHT HEIGHT

The VOSS.farming chick brooder can be adapted to your
chicks in every growth phase, so that the chicks always get
the warmth they need.
Keep the following points in mind:
∙
In the first days it is recommended to set the height a
little lower.
∙
Adjust the height at least once a week
∙
Take the height of the chicks back as a benchmark for
setting the height

Not every chick is the same. That is why you can also
set each side to a different height individually. This
makes the heating plate slightly slanted (fig.) and you
have a good height for all chicks.
You can tell if you have set the right height for your chicks
by their behaviour:
∙
Chicks are restless under the plate
∙
Chicks almost never come out from
under the heating plate (eat and drink
too little)
∙
Chicks seem unhappy and chirp a lot
∙
Chicks cannot or do not want to get
under the heating plate
∙
Chicks sit quietly and still under the
heating plate
∙
Chicks come out from under the heating
plate to feed and drink and return
afterwards
∙
Chicks appear content and do not peep
or only very little

Despite the correct height setting, it may happen that chicks can no longer get under the
heating plate due to rapid growth. Adjust the height at least once a week.
