HOW IT WORKS

The VOSS.farming chick brooder heats up to the maximum temperature of approx. 45°C (±5°C)
within approx. 10 minutes after start-up under optimum conditions. After reaching the maximum
temperature, the heating process is interrupted for a short time and starts again after the
temperature drops by approx. 5°C. Additional protection is provided by the built-in thermal fuse.
This is triggered once in the event of a fault and prevents the device from overheating.

THE RIGHT LOCATION

Consider the following points when choosing a location:
∙
the ambient temperature is between -30°C and +15°C
∙
there is a properly installed electrical socket within easy reach
∙
the premises used are indoors, well ventilated and free from water and humidity
∙
the floor is made of fireproof material
∙
there are no flammable materials (e.g. litter) in the vicinity (min. distance of 3 cm)

Place the heating plate so that when it adjoins a wall or corner chicks cannot be
accidentally trapped between the wall/corner and the plate.

SWITCHING ON AND OFF

Before and during use, observe the information on the correct location (see chapter 8) and the
general safety instructions (see chapter 2).
1. Press the latch on the underside of the plate in the direction of the arrow
(fig. 1) and gradually push the four support legs through the openings on
the plate (fig. 2).
2. Adjust the heating plate to the right height for your animals and snap the
legs into place. To determine the correct height, see chapter 10.
3. To switch on the heating plate, connect the mains adapter to the
device and plug it into a properly installed socket.
WARNING AGAINST ELECTRICAL VOLTAGES
Only insert the plug into properly installed sockets,
otherwise it may result in a short circuit or electric
shock. The socket used should be equipped with a
residual current circuit breaker (RCCB).

Possible damage to the insulation by animals. Lay the
cable so that it is protected from animals (e.g. chewing).
