Often made mistakes
Wing does not inflate or crashes imme-
diately after launch:
- Extend brake lines
- Check the position of the arms
- Untangle lines (also check risers)
Glider collapses:
- Fly in less turbulent weather
- Fly actively, or slightly braked
- Accelerate less
Glider falls behind the pilot in the air:
- Use less power
- Extend brake lines
- accelerate
Important!
The construction and the materials used
in Punkair paragliders are very robust.
Nevertheless some basic rules should
be followed in order to enjoy the glider
for a long time:
Avoid too much bending and crumpling
of the fabric and lines, as this will
damage the material!
If the glider should get wet, you have to
let it dry before packing it!
If the glider gets dirty, it can be cleaned
carefully with clear water. Cleaning and
abrasive agents as well as washing
powder must not be used under any
circumstances, as this will damage the
coating of the fabric!
The glider should always be stored in
its bag folded as loosely as possible. A
certain way of folding is not necessary,
it should just not be too tight and the
sticks should not be bent.
Do not expose the glider to the blazing
sun for an unnecessarily long time!
If the glider should have landed in a tree
or bush and got caught in the branches,
avoid pulling and tugging too hard on the
canopy or the lines to recover the glider!
Rather try to free the it from the tree
without a load.
And if something should break...
... we will of course help you!
If a line is broken, you can send us the
glider and we will replace it professio-
nally.
If the fabric is damaged, we have to
decide about the appropriate measures
depending on the damage.
