There is a risk of fire and explosion!
Immediately disconnect the battery from the charger if it becomes very hot. If the model is not used
for a longer period of time, remove the inserted batteries from the remote control and the car to avoid
damage caused by leaking/deeply discharged batteries.

4. Before starting

Dispose of the packaging material, as this could be dangerous for children.
Check with your insurance company whether the operation of a radio-controlled model is covered by
insurance.
If you have no experience in controlling RC models, first familiarize yourself with the reactions to the
control commands on the stationary model. If necessary, contact a model building club and seek the
support of an experienced driver.
Before operating, check the remote control system and the model for functional reliability and visible
damage such as defective plug connections or damaged wires.
All moving parts must function smoothly, but without bearing play.
Check all screw and plug connections, wheel nuts and electrical contacts for tight fit, as these can
become loose during transport, while driving or in minor accidents. Fasten excess lengths of wires so
that they cannot get caught in moving/rotating parts. Wires must also not be kinked.
Observe the separate operating instructions of possible accessories.

5. Water Resistant

The MODSTER Desert Rookie can be operated under humid conditions as his motor, regulator and
servo are splash-proof. Splash-proofed means only that a device can withstand water sprays, but it
must not be immersed in water, or exposed to excessive humidity or strong rain for a long time.
The model must never be immersed completely in the water.
Driving in wet conditions also requires additional maintenance. The transmitter is not splashproof.
Please protect it from rain and water.
After driving, remove all the water and dirt from the model and completely dry it.
Ball bearings, metal parts and swing pins must be lubricated after driving in a humid environment.
