Emptying the grass basket
WARNING:
To reduce a risk of accident, reg-
ularly check the grass basket for any damage or
weakened strength. Replace the grass basket if
necessary.
1.
R e l e a s e t h e s w i t c h l e v e r a n d d r i v e l e v e r .
2.
Turn off the machine.
3.
O p e n t h e r e a r c o v e r a n d t a k e o u t t h e g r a s s b a s k e t
by holding the handle.

4.
Empty the grass basket.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
Always be sure that the battery
cartridges are removed from the machine before
storing or carrying the machine or attempting to
perform inspection or maintenance.
WARNING:
W ear gloves when performing
inspection or maintenance.
WARNING:
Always wear the safety goggles or
safety glasses with side shields when performing
inspection or maintenance.
NOTICE:
Never use gasoline, ben z ine, thinner,
alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation or
cracks may result.

repairs, any other maintenance or adjustment should
be performed by Makita Authorized or Factory Service
Centers, always using Makita replacement parts.
Maintenance
1.
Remove the battery cartridge, and then close the
battery cover.
2.
P u t t h e m o w e r o n i t s s i d e . C l e a n g r a s s c l i p p i n g s
a c c u m u l a t e d o n t h e u n d e r s i d e o f m o w e r d e c k .
3.
P o u r w a t e r t o w a r d t h e b o t t o m
w h i c h t h e b l a d e i s a t t a c h e d .
NOTICE:
Do not wash the machine with high
pressure water.
4.
C h e c k a l l n u t s , b o l t s , s c r e w s , e t c . f o r t i g h t n e s s .
5.

NOTICE:

the machine is in the upright position as shown

water may pour down the motor unit, and cause a

Carrying the mower
CAUTION:
Before carrying the mower, make
sure that the battery cartridges are removed.
When carrying the mower, hold the rear grip and the
l o w e r h o l d i n g p a r t a t t h e f r o n t o f t h e m a c h i n e w i t h t w o
people as shown in the figure.

Storing
CAUTION:
W hen putting the machine in the
upright position, place the machine on a at and
stable surface. I f t h e m a c h i n e i s p l a c e d o n a n u n s t a -
ble surface, the machine may fall over and cause an
injury.
Store mower indoors in a cool, dry and locked place.
