4.2 Software Update
To extend the robot software with the functions of the smartBOX, a firmware update
must be installed .
Please follow these steps:

Switch OFF power to the robot .
•
Plug in the USB pen drive to frontside MEMORY port .
•
Switch ON power to the robot .
•
The update of robot firmware starts automatically .
•
Wait until update is finished . Therefore observe the teach- and startbox .
•
Switch OFF power to the robot .
•
Unplug the USB pen drive.
Now the system is ready for operation .
