Unpacking the appliance
WARNING
Microwave hazard!
The cover in the cooking chamber
serves to protect the magnetron, which
emits the microwaves.
■ Never remove the cover inside the
cooking chamber!
• Completely remove all protective films
from the housing, the inside of the door
and the cooking chamber.
Choosing the correct set-up
location
WARNING
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in damage or may cause a
fi re. Heat trapped inside the appliance
may shorten its service life.
■ Ensure suffi cient ventilation. Do not
cover the vents, for example with
oven mitts or cookery books.
■ When setting up the appliance, en-
sure that the minimum safety dis-
tances are maintained which are
specifi ed in the user manual.
■ Do not put the appliance in a cup-
board.
The set-up location must fulfil the following
conditions:

The appliance should not be placed directly
beside a refrigerator or freezer. Heat loss un-
necessarily increases their energy consump-
tion.
There must be a minimum spacing of 2 m
from radio devices and televisions, etc., to
ensure that the reception is not distorted.
• Set the appliance up with its back against
a wall.
Cleaning before first use
The appliance should be cleaned before first
use so that, for example, packaging residue
will not negatively affect the taste of the food.
1. Open the cooking chamber door (5) by
pressing the button (15).

2. Completely empty the cooking cham-
ber (1).
3. Wipe the appliance interior and exterior
with a soft, damp cloth.
4. Leave the cooking chamber door open to
allow the oven to dry out completely.
