Setting the time
During start-up and after a power failure, you
will have to set the time. Otherwise the appli-
ance will not work.
The appliance is always in 24-hour
mode and can therefore not be
changed to 12-hour mode.
When the appliance is connected to
the power supply, a beep will sound and the

display will show

1. Press the "Time/Timer" button (12).
Both of the left digit displays will start flash-
ing on the display.
2. Turn the control dial (14) to set the num-
ber of hours.
3. Press the "Time/Timer" button (12) again.
Both of the right digit displays will start
flashing on the display.
4. Turn the control dial to set the minutes.
5. Press the "Time/Timer" button (12) once
again.
The digits in the display are no longer
flashing; the time is now set.
Using the clock as a timer
You can also use the appliance's clock as a
timer:
1. Press the "Time/Timer" button (12) twice.

2. Adjust the desired duration setting by
turning the control dial (14).
3. To start the timer, press the
"Start/+30sec./Confirm" button (13).
Five beeps will sound when the set time
is up.
Switching on and off the
security locking mechanism
(child lock)
If the safety lock (child safety) is activated,
then all buttons including the function selector
will not work.
Activating the safety lock is only
possible when the appliance is in
idle state.
1. To switch on the security locking mech-
anism (child lock) press and hold down
the "Stop/Delete" button (16) for approx. 3
seconds.
A beep will sound and the lock indicator
will appear on the display.
If the time has not been set, the dis-
play will show
2. To switch off the security locking mech-
anism (child lock), press and hold down
the "Stop/Delete" button (16) again for
approx. 3 seconds.
A beep will sound and the locking indicator
on the display goes out. The buttons
have been unlocked again.
