dicated on the watch is midnight. To start the
movement again, push the crown once to move
it back into the winding position.
The year and leap year display
The perpetual calendar used in the Streamliner
Perpetual Calendar is based on the Gregorian
calendar in use today. In this system, every 4 ye-
ars the month of February is one day longer
than the usual 28 days.
This is called a leap year. If the watch is in regu-
lar use, you will not take much notice of this as
the calendar will show the right date even in
leap years, just as reliably as it differentiates
months with 30 days from months with 31. If
your watch has not been used for a while, howe-
ver, the exact year after the last leap year will
also need to be checked and possibly adjusted
when setting the right date. To enable you to do
this, the back of the watch features a leap year
indicator (8) with the numbers 1, 2 and 3, as
well as a black field symbolising the leap year,
which can be seen through the glass back. The
display on the leap year indicator repeats a total
of three times.
Setting the precise year
If the Streamliner Perpetual Calendar is not
used for a long period, we recommend that you
fully wind your watch before setting the date in
the following order:
1. Setting the month
The right month is set from crown position 1
(for setting the date) by turning the date for-
wards or backwards past the end of the month,
so that the month display (4) moves on one po-
sition. The month display (4) uses the hour indi-
ces to indicate the respective month with its
number. That means that January (the first
month) is at 1 o'clock, February (the second
month) is at 2 o'clock, June (the sixth month) is
at 6 o'clock, and so on. Continue adjusting until
the current month is reached.
2. Setting the year
To set the correct year, the crown remains in po-
sition 1. The enclosed adjustment stylus can be
used to press the year adjustment button (10)
on the outside of the case at 10 o'clock and set
the current year after the last leap year. When
8
the indicator spring (9) engages one of the
black fields, the watch shows a leap year with 29
days in February (for example, 2020 is a leap
year). The numbers 1, 2 and 3 stand for the first,
second and third years after the last leap year,
thus indicating 28 days in February. So for the
year 2021, set the leap year indicator (8) so that
the indicator spring (9) indicates the number 1.
3. Setting the date
Still in position 1, now select the current date by
turning the crown. You should stop one day be-
fore the current date so that midnight – the time
at which the movement changes the date – can
then be identified via the time setting position.
4. Setting the time
Pull the crown out again in order to get to posi-
tion 2 (time setting position). This stops the mo-
vement. Adjust the hands until the hour hand (1)
passes midnight and makes the current date
appear. Then you can set the exact time from
this position. To start the movement again, push
the crown once to move it back into the normal
position.
Important
In positions 0 and 1, the watch is only water-
resistant to a limited extent. The crown must
therefore always be screwed back in (positi-
on  X) for normal wear; this guarantees its full
water resistance of 12 bar.
Reading the time in the dark
The hour hand and minute hand on your watch
are equipped with illuminated elements that
enable you to easily read the time, even in total
darkness.
Power reserve indicator
The power reserve indicator is on the dial of
your watch. It shows how long the watch will
continue to run without being wound. This indi-
cator changes slowly and continually. When
winding the watch, you can see that the power
reserve increases the closer you get to fully
winding the watch. When the watch is fully
wound, the hand of the power reserve indicator
points to the very top of area A, as shown in the
image. After seven days, the hand will have
moved about 2/3 of the distance and now be
