Fault
The phase of the constant current
I1 takes too long; the charging
operation will be aborted due to
the malfunction.
Phase with constant voltage U1
takes too long; charging operation
is continued with next phase.
During the charging operation,
more than 130% of the nominal
power was charged.
During the main charging phase
I1, more than 80% of the nominal
capacity was delivered.

General information:

If the charging time is longer than 2 hours, switch off the charging unit and unplug it. Wait for one minute, then
plug the charging unit in again and switch it on. The charging process should now continue.
If the display shows the error "Pilot line off", either the battery is fully charged and cannot draw any more current,
or the ambient temperature is lower than 10°C.

E2x Cause
• Faulty battery, incorrect charging unit
settings or too long a duration of the
E21 balancing/charging process.
• Battery capacity too high or low charging
unit current
• Faulty battery, incorrect charging unit
E22 settings or too long a duration of the
balancing/charging process.
• Faulty battery, incorrect charging unit
E23 settings or too long a duration of the
balancing/charging process.
E24 • Deep-discharging battery
Precondition for measuring:
1. Switch the battery "OFF".
2. Disconnect the battery from the steering gear.
3. Switch the battery "ON".
> Nominal voltage range: 47-56.7 Volt.
> If the voltage is not in the nominal range, please
contact the Service department.
NOTE
If the voltage is below 52 V, charge the battery.
Elimination
• Check the battery temperature, and check
the voltage of the individual cells.
• Check the charging unit settings.
