Operation
LED display on the driver housing
7.1
In the event of an error signal being issued in response to a defect condition, the LED
display on the driver housing can restrict the cause of the fault using the following error
codes.
7.2
Switching signals
• Plasma on
Analogue input to start plasma generation.
Through signal voltages of between 3 V
and 10 V, power can be controlled as
shown in the adjacent table.
The voltage level for the desired power
rating must be present continuously
throughout the duration of plasma
generation.
Attention
The 'Plasma On' signal can only be interpreted correctly if it occurs no sooner than
100 ms after connection to the 24 V power supply.
The 24V power supply must also still be present on the device at least 5 seconds after
deactivation of the plasma signal.
Ensure that the 'Plasma On' signal can only be activated when there is a sufficient supply
of gas and sufficient extraction power. We recommend a gas run-up of 1 second and a
gas run-down of at least 3 seconds.
The shortest cycle time for the 'Plasma On' signal is 500 ms. For shorter cycle times, no
reliable plasma generation takes place. The transient response of the piezo transformer
creates a delay in plasma formation after the switching signal.
