▪ CAUTION - fire hazard! You must be extremely cautious when using the appliance with hot oil
or other fats. Hot oil and fats are highly flammable, especially after being used a number of times
and/or when dirty. Never pour water onto hot or burning oil. If flames appear, close the lid of the
deep-fryer if possible in order to extinguish the flames. In the event of overheating, immediately
pull out the power cord.
▪ The manufacturer declines all liability in case of improper use or repair of the appliance. Warranty
claims will be deemed invalid in such cases.
Setting up and connecting
▪ Remove all packaging from the appliance.
▪ Clean the appliance (see chapter "Cleaning and care").
Set up the appliance on a stable and level surface near to a plug socket. Make sure that the
appliance is positioned on a horizontal, heat-insulated and grease-resistant surface.
Note regarding the use of oil and fat
The best frying results are achieved with a high-quality peanut oil.
Do not mix different types of oil.
When using solid fat, this must be cut into small pieces so that the deep-fryer does not heat up empty
in the first few minutes. The temperature must be set to 150°C until the fat has completely melted.
Only then can you set the actual required temperature.
Using the appliance for the first time
▪ Make sure that the oil pot engages completely and correctly into the housing.
▪ The deep-fryer must only be put into operation once the oil or fat has been added.
▪ Add the desired amount of oil or fat to the oil pot. Make sure that the filling quantity is between
the minimum marking (MIN 0.8 l) and the maximum marking (MAX 1.0 l)
▪ Close the lid to heat the oil more quickly.
▪ Now insert the power cord into the socket.
▪ Turn the temperature control knob to the right to reach the desired temperature level or set to
150°C if you are using solid grease. While the appliance is heating the oil, the LED lights up red. As
soon as the set temperature level is reached, the LED goes out.
▪ You can now put the food in the deep-frying basket. Take care not to put too much food in the
deep-frying basket. The best frying results are achieved when the food can float in the oil with
sufficient space.
▪ Then close the lid and slowly dip the deep-frying basket into the hot oil by lowering the handle.
▪ It is normal for condensation water to form on the window and lid during the deep-frying process.
▪ After the desired cooking time, lift the basket out of the oil by lifting the handle. After a brief
draining time, you can now open the lid by pressing the lid opening button and remove the deep-
frying basket from the deep-fryer using the handle.
Caution! Hot steam may escape during this step.
▪ Depending on what food is being fried, we recommend placing the food on a piece of kitchen roll
to remove excess oil.
▪ If you want to carry out a second deep-frying, make sure that there are no remains from the
first deep-frying floating in the oil. These would burn during a second deep-frying, and can taste
unpleasant.
16
▪ Make sure that the oil has heated up again and the LED has gone out after each successive deep-
frying. The deep-frying oil cools down due to the temperature of the food being fried, so it must
first be reheated to the desired temperature in order for the new food to be fried at the same high
temperature. If the deep-frying oil is too cold, the food being fried will soak up the oil and taste
very greasy.
▪ When deep-frying is finished, turn the knob back to the "OFF" position and disconnect the deep-
fryer plug.
IMPORTANT! Leave the deep-fryer in place until the oil has cooled down completely.
▪ You can use the oil several times for deep-frying. Please make sure to change the oil after deep-
frying 5-8 times. This should be done beforehand if unpleasant odours arise, if smoke forms during
the deep-frying process or if the oil turns dark.

The cooking times and temperatures indicated are approximate values that can be modified according
to quantity and personal taste. The filling quantity is also heavily dependent on the food being fried.
As a general rule, the deep-frying basket should not be filled more than to the edge, and there should
be enough space for the food to float in the oil.
Tips for deep-frying fresh food
▪ Make sure that the food is of an even thickness in order to ensure a uniform cooking time.
▪ Breaded food:
Foods with a high water content (fish, meat, vegetables) should be breaded or rolled in flour
before frying. Any excess flour or breadcrumbs should be tapped off thoroughly.
Breaded foods may also stick to the deep-frying basket. In this case, it is better to dip the
deep-frying basket into the oil first and then slowly and carefully put the breaded food
directly into the hot oil.
