WARNINGS
• Prevent being exposed to UV light for too long. Adhere to the recommended exposure times
and the maximum amount of exposure hours.
• Too much exposure to UV light, just like regular sunlight, can cause damage to the eyes and
skin, as well as cause allergic reactions. Repeated exposure can possibly lead to burning of
the skin, premature aging of the skin and skin cancer. These biological effects depend on the
quality and the quantity of the radiation and the sensitivity of the user´s skin.
• The risks increase when the unit is used frequently.
• Exposure to excessive sunlight at a young age increases the risk of skin damage later in life.
• Always use the protective goggles provided (model number: 2255) while you are tanning to
protect your eyes from a high dose of visible UV and infrared light. Contact lenses and sun
glasses are not a substitute for goggles. Not wearing eye protection can lead to eye inflamma-
tion which may result in permanent eye damage, such as damage to the retina and eventually
cataract.
• Protect sensitive parts of the skin, such as scars, tattoos and the genitals.
• Medication use, shower products or cosmetics can increase the sensitivity for UV radiation.
Some medical conditions and side effects of medication may worsen as a result of UV radiation.
• Consult your doctor before using the Sunshower if you are using medication, have had skin
problems in the past, or if you are very sensitive to sunlight.
• Do not sunbathe and use the appliance on the same day.
• Do not look directly into the UV and IR lamps.
• Prevent other persons from viewing the Sunshower during use, as there is a risk of eye damage.
• Cleanse your skin from creams, lipstick, fragrances, skin care products and other cosmetics a
considerable time before your exposure session.
• Maintain the imposed distance of 45 cm for a homogenous tanning field. For equally tanned
skin you should rotate your body in front of the Sunshower.
• Do not use creams or lotions intended to protect your skin from sunburn.
• Do not touch the glass during or shortly after use. It may become hot.
• The symbol below means that you should always keep a distance of 45 cm from the glass plate
when using UV light.
• When taking an IR session, prevent overheating yourself. If needed please stand further away
from the Sunshower.
