Before starting work, and after each interruption,
check the unit and grinding tool for signs of
damage. Check for tight seating of the tool in the
collet or on the tool spindle!
The grinder runs on after being switched off.
If the grinder and/or grinding tool have been
dropped, they must be checked for signs of
damage.
For your own personal safety, only use tools,
accessories and add-on equipment specified in the
catalogue or operating manual or which has been
recommended by the tool manufacturer.
Secure the workpiece in a clamping device or a
vice!
The BIAX grinding spindles / robot tooling may only
be operated with suitable profile grinding tools and
hardmetal milling cutters (see catalogue).
Only use undamaged profile grinding tools and
hardmetal burrs!
When
using

permissible circumferential speed is not exceeded
to rule out any risks of personal injury and property
damage.
Do not use slitting discs.
Always maintain the prescribed speeds, clamping
lengths and minimum clamping length of 10 mm.
The workpiece may only be processed by the
grinding tool, never with other parts of the rotating
spindle. Damaged or incorrectly fixed grinding tools
can cause extreme vibration.
Check the grinding tool is clamped securely in the
collet because the tool could become loose and fly
out of the collet!
The grinding tools must be carefully stored and
handled in accordance to the instructions of the
manufacturer.
Make sure that the equipment is safely stored in a
dry atmosphere before and after use.
When putting the robot into place, make sure it is
stable and observe the range of the tool arm.
It is the responsibility of the operator to ensure that
the location of robot and the interface are secured.
