If the monitor flame does not burn, set the rotary knob to OFF, wait 5 minutes and
repeat steps 3 – 4.
5. Let go of the rotary knob after this. If the monitor flame does not go out, the appliance
is functioning without fault. However, if the monitor flame goes out, steps 3 – 4 must be
repeated once again.
6. Set the rotary knob to the desired heat output from Maximum "HI (HIGH)" to Minimum
"LO (LOW)".
P Some smoke might escape during the initial burner ignitions.
P The components expand when the appliance heats up. This causes an audible
noise.
4.2

Switching off the appliance

1. Press the rotary knob downwards slightly and turn it to the OFF position.
2. P Close the gas cock on the gas cylinder by turning right.
3. Make sure the gas cock is tightly closed. The appliance only switches off fully if the gas
cock is correctly closed.

Replacing the gas cylinder

Only replace the gas cylinder in a flame-free environment.
Do not on any account use a tool. If the union nuts cannot be undone, put your
hand round the complete pressure regulator and move it slightly. The nut can now
be removed easily.
When replacing the gas cylinder, it is also very important to observe the notes in Chapters
3.3 - 3.4. Please proceed as follows to replace an empty gas cylinder:
1. Lift up the gas cylinder cover.
2. Make sure that the gas cock on the gas cylinder is closed.
3. Uninstall the pressure regulator by loosening the union nut of the pressure regulator (by
turning right).
4. Install the new gas cylinder, as described in Chapter 3.4.4.
Check the gas-carrying components as part of a leak test (see Chapter 3.4.2 –
3.4.3) before putting the appliance into operation.
