Troubleshooting

Malfunctions may occur with any electrical equipment. This is not necessarily due to a device defect. As such,
you should check the following table to see if you can eliminate the problem yourself.
Malfunction
Device does not turn on
No sound
USB playback does not start
Poor FM/DAB reception
Remote control does not work, or
only works sporadically
Device not responding
Possible cause
Power cable is not properly con-
nected
Volume is set to minimum
Sound is turned off
Headphones are connected
Another mode is set
USB device is not plugged in
USB device is not compatible
USB device does not contain read-
able audio files
FM/DAB antenna is not properly
aligned
Distance too great
Battery empty
Malfunctions due to other radio
transmitters or devices
Error in the device
Elimination
Connect the power cable properly
(see
Ä Chapter 7.3 'Connecting the
power supply' on page 83).
Increase the volume (see
Ä Chapter 10.2 'Setting the
volume' on page 89).
Switch on the sound (see
Ä Chapter 10.3 'Muting the audio
playback' on page 89).
Pull the headphones out of the
jack.
Set the correct mode (see
Ä Chapter 10.1 'Selecting a play‐
back mode' on page 89).
Insert the USB device into the port
on the back of the device (see
Ä Chapter 14 'USB playback'
on page 93).
Check whether your USB device is
compatible with sonoroRADIO.
Check the files on your USB device.
Change the position of the FM/DAB
antenna.
Reduce the distance between the
remote control and the device.
Replace the battery in the remote
control (see
Ä Chapter
7.2 'Inserting the battery'
on page 82).
Increase the distance between the
source of interference and the
sonoroRADIO. Plug the device into
another socket so that the source
of interference and the
sonoroRADIO are connected to dif-
ferent branch currents.
Switch the device off and on again.
