SAFETY REGULATIONS

Never allow water to come into contact
with any of the electrical parts of the
machine: danger of short circuit! Hot
water and steam may cause burning!
General Regulations
For general safety regulations, refer to the
manual supplied with the machine.
All the operations described herein must
be performed only by specialized technical
personnel.
Water Connection
The machine must be connected to the water
network according to the safety regulations in
force in the country of use.
The installation of a tap upstream of the
machine is therefore recommended in order
to allow for easy machine connection and
maintenance.
Hoses and gaskets for water network
connection must be brand-new and suitable
for food use.
Hose length must allow for a safe and danger-
free user environment.
Do not use old, worn-out or re-used hoses and
gaskets.
Before connecting the supply hose to the water
network, allow the water to run until it is clear.
The water pressure of the tap should be within

the limits shown in the technical specifi cations
table.
Electrical connection
When installing the water network connection
kit, check the electrical connection is compliant
to the regulations in force in the country of use.
Water tank
Empty the water tank when installing the
water network connection kit.
Wash, dry and put the water tank back in place
in order to ensure the correct operation of the
safety protections installed on the machine.
The water tank will be used only for the
machine descaling process.
Remove the "Intenza+" water fi lter (if any): it
is not to be used with the water network.
We recommend to install a water softener
to enhance the brewed products quality: in
this case, measure the water hardness that
feeds the machine one more time. Once this
step is performed, update the adjustment as
described in the 8.14 section of the supplied
manual.
