Decoder. Excellent operation at all times is assured by the high safety standard in data processing
and by delivering an exceptional power output and performance. Future alterations in the DCC
Standards are easily implemented in the eMOTION XL Decoder by updating. The latest Flash-
Technology is utilized in the eMOTION XL Decoder to provide a safe and consumer-friendly
operation during updating.
This Decoder conforms to the CE Standards

for lead free manufacturing conforming to RoHS Standards.

Important information for the operation
Install your Decoder in compliance with the connecting diagram in this manual. The Decoder is
protected against shorts and excessive loads. However, in case of a connection error e.g. a short
between a light and the motor, this safety feature cannot work and the Decoder will be destroyed
subsequently.
The Decoder is originally programmed on address #3 with 14 speed steps. In case you want to use
a high address, you have to program CV17, CV18 and CV29 accordingly. If you want to use 28
speed steps you need to set CV29-Bit1 to"2". Otherwise the lights might not work or flicker.
