2. Press the operating button (6) to start the brewing process. The operating lamp lights up.
Hot water is poured over the coffee powder to brew it.
Please Note! As the design of the device means that the hot water lines run under the
hotplate (5), the glass jug gets hot during the brewing process despite the keep-warm func-
tion being switched off. This is normal and does not represent a defect.
At the end of the brewing process, the hotplate (5) switches on automatically (see the "Handling
and Operation" chapter – "Keep-Warm Function").
The glass jug (7) can now be removed.
To end the brewing process prematurely, press the operating button again. The operating
lamp goes out and the brewing process is aborted.

Cleaning and Care

PLEASE NOTE!
• Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to clean
the device. These may damage the surfaces.
1. Empty the permanent fi lter (12) or dispose of the fi lter paper and if necessary empty the
glass jug (7).
2. Clean the permanent fi lter, the fi lter insert (11) and the glass jug after every use with deter-
gent and warm water, or in the dishwasher.
3. Wipe down the inside and outside of the housing with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a little
detergent to remove more intense soiling.
4. Check the connecting cable regularly for any damage.
Cleaning the Glass Jug Thoroughly
Coffee grounds and coffee oil residues can contaminate the glass jug (7) over time. It should
therefore be thoroughly cleaned regularly (at least every 4 weeks).
We recommend that you do this using BEEM Premium Cleaning Tablets. They will remove the
residues quickly and easily. In addition, the cleaning tablets are gentle on the material and guaran-
tee food-safe and environmentally friendly cleaning - ensuring an authentic coffee fl avour. BEEM
Premium Cleaning Tablets in a pack of 20 or 50 can be obtained from selected specialist stockists,
directly via our website www.beem.de or from our customer service department on request.
Cleaning with the BEEM Premium Cleaning Tablets
1. Dissolve a cleaning tablet in water at 60 – 70 °C.
2. Pour the solution into the glass jug (7).
3. Move the glass jug slowly in circular motions to ensure that the inside is wetted with the
cleaning solution.
4. Allow the cleaning solution to take effect for a few minutes.
5. Empty the glass jug and rinse it thoroughly several times with clear water.
The BEEM Cleaning Tablets do not have a descaling effect!
