Troubleshooting guide (Combi gas heating system)

Fault code

Cause
# 17, # 18 – Summer mode with empty water tank
– Warm outlets blocked
– Circulated air intake blocked
# 21 – Room temperature sensor or cable defective
# 24 – Risk of low voltage
Battery voltage too low
< 10.4 V
# 29 – FrostControl heating element has a short circuit
# 41 – Electronics blocked.
# 42 – Open window above cowl (window switch)
# 43 – Overvoltage > 16.4 V
# 44 – Low voltage
Battery voltage too low
< 10.0 V
# 45 – No 230 V operating voltage
– 230 V fuse defective
– Overheating protection has been triggered
#112, #202 – Gas cylinder or quick-acting valve in gas supply line closed
#121, #211
– Gas pressure regulator iced up
– Butane content in the gas cylinder too high
#122, #212 – Combustion air infeed or exhaust outlet is sealed
#255 – The device to be operated is not connected to the power
supply
– No connection between heating system and control panel
– Defective control panel cable

guide, please contact Truma Service.
Rectification
– Switch device off and allow to cool. Fill boiler with water.
– Check individual outlet apertures
– Remove blockage from circulated air intake
– Please contact Truma Service.
– Charge battery
– Disconnect heating element plug from electronic control unit.
Replace heating element
– Please contact Truma Service.
– Close window.
– Check battery voltage and voltage sources such as the charger.
– Charge battery. Replace obsolete battery if necessary
– Restore 230 V operating voltage.
– Replace 230 V fuse.
– Reset overheating protection. Allow heating system to cool,
remove connector cover and press reset button.
– Check gas supply and open valves
– Use regulator heater (EisEx)
– Use propane (Butane is unsuitable for heating, particularly at
temperatures below 10 °C.)
– Inspect openings for contamination (slush, ice, leaves, etc.)
and remove contamination if necessary.
– Make sure that power supply is provided
