2.2.5 Unlock CAN Gateway

2.2.5.1 Prerequisites

Software preconditions
• Download and install PassThru_setup_V49_V2 for the device to be used:
Hella Gutmann Solutions GmbH: PassThru
• Download and install Microsoft Net Framework 3.5 for the device to be used:

General preconditions
• The Renault token is ready to operate and connected to the PC.
• The USB cable connects the VCI and the PC.
2.2.5.2 Proceeding
Proceed as follows to unlock the CAN gateway:
1. Open the gateway unlock module by double-clicking to the app symbol.

NOTICE
In order to select the desired HGS device, the corresponding check box must be selected in the
installation assistant.
NOTICE
Should you already have installed Microsoft Net Framework with version 4.0 you will require also
the installation of version 3.5 as the Renault Gateway unlocking module is not compatible with
version 4.0 under windows 10.
NOTICE
Ensure the following to be able to unlock the CAN gateway:
• The Renault token is connected to the PC and ready to operate.
• VCI and PC are connected with one another via USB cable or mega macs 66 is connected with
USB cable and PC and the DT 66 module is inserted in the corresponding module slot.
