4.11 Sensor diagnostic and test menu
The sensor diagnostic and test menu shows current information about the instrument. To go to the
sensor diagnostic and test menu, select SENSOR SETUP > [select sensor] > DIAG/TEST.
Option
Description
PROBE INFO
Shows the sensor name. Select SERIAL NUMBER to show the serial numbers
of the sensor and digital gateway. Shows the software version, code version,
driver version and production date of the digital gateway.
COUNTERS
LED OPERATION —Shows the number of hours the UV LED has been in
operation.
CAL DAYS—Shows the number of days since the last sensor calibration. The
CAL DAYS value is set to zero when the 2-point calibration procedure is
completed.
CLEAN DAYS—Shows the number of days since the last sensor cleaning.
CLEAN SENSOR—Sets the CLEAN DAYS value to zero. Select CLEAN
SENSOR when the sensor is cleaned.
RESET SENSOR—Sets the LED OPERATION value to zero. Select RESET
SENSOR when the sensor is replaced.
SENSOR
MV RAW—Shows the sensor reading in mV. The mV range is 0 to 5000 mV
SIGNAL
(approximately 250mV = 0 μg/L PAH).
SENS ADC CNTS—Shows the digital number that represents the PAH reading.
TEMPERATURE—Shows the inner temperature of the digital gateway.

4.12 Sensor data and event logs
The controller supplies a data log and an event log for each sensor. Measurements are saved to the
data log at the selected interval. Events that occur on the sensor are saved to the event log. Refer to
Event log
on page 28.
Refer to the controller documentation to download the data log and/or event log.
Section 5 Maintenance
Do not dissassemble the sensor or digital gateway for maintenance. If the internal components
must be cleaned or repaired, contact the manufacturer.
The sensor and digital gateway are a programmed pair. Do not replace the sensor or digital gateway
independently.

5.1 Maintenance schedule

Table 1
shows the recommended schedule of maintenance tasks. Facility requirements and
operating conditions may increase the frequency of some tasks.
Note: The maintenance recommendations that follow are applicable to exhaust gas scrubbing applications in
maritime. Different maintenance intervals may be necessary for different scrubber types, fuel types, etc.
