1 General Information

The current understanding in modern occupational health and safety is that people in nursing professions
experience significant work-related physical strain. Back injuries are common. There are many situations in which a
patient has to be transferred from a bed, a wheeled stretcher, ambulance stretcher, an X-Ray table or a wheelchair
to a different stretcher or seat. The strain on the user and the patient / care-dependent can be reduced significantly
through the use of sliding mats.
The use of transfer aids should be conditional upon the user having learned to use the equipment properly. The
user has to decide for themselves what equipment is suitable to the patient's situation and the intended sequence
of movements.
The inner surface of all Turning Sheet with hand grips is made from particularly low friction fabric, which allows for
easy movement. The outer surfaces consist of a breathable cotton material, which can remain under the patient. The
