HELPFUL NOTE:
Another advantage of this packing method is that it can help you during strong wind
launching. When trying to launch in strong winds only open the glider in the middle –
like the first picture when starting packing - the glider is laying like a cauliflower on
ground. Only open the centre cells, unroll the trailing edge. The lines can be sorted
by checking if they are all parallel and not tangled up – this is mostly enough.
Opening the wing completely would obviously blow the wing away.
Hook into the harness in reverse, a slight pull on the risers is enough... and airborne.
Of course, you should train that before.
Do not drag the wing over rocky or harsh ground – this can damage the materials. As
well take care while packing on such undergrounds. If possible, avoid packing on it.
