Operation: Additional functions
The basics
Additional functions can be used to change
a cycle's standard values and adjust them
to your laundry in order to achieve the best
possible washing result or maximum effec-
tiveness.
The setting options available to you are based
on the selected cycle from (see "Table: Addi-
tional functions" on page EN-18).
When the symbol of the additional function
– lights up, the function is available
– flashes, the function is not available.

After selecting the desired cycle, the field for
the washing water temperature will show you
the default temperature for this cycle.
• To decrease the washing water temper-
ature, repeatedly press the "Temp" but-
ton (11) until the desired temperature is
shown on the display ( = "cold water").
You can now select further additional
functions or start the cycle.
Reduce spin speed
After selecting the desired cycle, the field for
the spin speed will show you the highest spin
speed for this cycle.
Please note: The spin speed affects the noise
emissions of the appliance and the residual
dampness of the laundry. The higher the spin
speed, the higher the noise emissions and
the lower the residual dampness.

press the "Spin" button (10) until the de-
sired spin speed is shown on the display
( stands for "drain without spinning").
You can now select further additional
functions or start the cycle.

After selecting the desired cycle, the options
field will show you the following settings:
"Prewash"
This option is recommended only for
heavily soiled laundry.
If you select this option, there must be
detergent in the correct compartment of
the dispensing drawer. (see "Loading
laundry and detergent" on page EN-14).
"Extra rinse"
Your laundry will receive an extra rinse
cycle.
"Easy iron"
This option protects your laundry from
heavy creasing.
"Anti-allergenic"
This option is recommended for sensi-
tive skin, baby clothes and underwear.
The laundry will be rinsed hot and one
more time.
• To select an option, repeatedly press the
"Option" button (9) until the desired option
is shown on the display.
