6 Troubleshooting

Problem
• When charging BP 4000, a rec-
ommended RECOVERY cycle
was not run. Remaining battery
life is not indicated.
• Volume too high and battery
voltage too low. SPR 4 limiter is
automatically activated to avoid
premature power-down.
• Battery/BP 4000 capacity lower
than 20%.
1. Received signal level was too
low for a moment (dropout).
2. Radio signal still too weak after
10 seconds, warning comes up
again.
• Internal error.
Remedy
• Press Jog switch briefly and run
RECOVERY cycle next time you
charge BP 4000.
• Press Jog switch briefly to reset
limiter to last active mode. Re-
duce volume or replace batter-
ies/charge battery pack.
• Replace batteries/
charge BP 4000.
1. Press Jog switch briefly. (Warn-
ing disappears.)
2. Relocate transmitter/antenna. If
dropouts persist, mark and
avoid critical spots.
1. Switch power to receiver OFF
and back ON after about 10
seconds.
2. Contact your AKG dealer as
soon as possible, even if prob-
lem appears to be corrected.
