Improper maintenance and repair

All maintenance and repair work must only be performed by qualified per-
sonnel
Do not make any modifications to the device
Personnel responsible for maintaining the device or carrying out safety inspec-
tions must possess the necessary qualifications and be familiar with the local
safety regulations in place at the installation location and the applicable official
regulations.
Repairs must be performed by our service personnel only.
We recommend to arrange for safety inspections to be performed every 24
months in accordance with Section 5 of IEC 62353.
The inspection comprises the following steps:
visual inspection
measuring the protective resistance (only for protection class I devices)
measuring the leakage currents
measuring the insulation resistance
The results of the inspection should be documented in an inspection report in ac-
cordance with Section 6 and Annex G of IEC 62353.
We recommend that all components of a medical electrical system be subjected
to documented technical safety inspections at regular intervals.
