The scope of delivery for the device includes:
one light source (item no. 05.0740LED)

The delivery left our premises in perfect condition. If you have any cause for com-
plaint, however, please contact our Service Department.
The present product is a light source for use in medical endoscopy.
The light source provides white light in the spectral range of 380-700 nm and is
ready for use seconds after it is switched on.
When using the FLEXISCOPE C1 HD / FLEXIVISION camera, the light source
can be controlled with the buttons on the camera head.
The standby function allows the light to be handled even more flexibly and without
delay. The light can be controlled either directly on the device or using one of the
convenient, fully programmable camera head buttons.
The light is generated using the latest LED technology. The brightness can be
adjusted continuously and in 5 % increments up to a maximum luminous flux of
1400 lumens. The long life of the LED means that the device is maintenance free.
The multi-light-guide adapter allows the light source to be connected with fiber op-
tic light guides manufactured by Karl Storz, Richard Wolf and Olympus up to a di-
ameter of 4.8 mm as well as proprietary light guides.
The multi-light-guide adapter has been designed to cause the LED to automatical-
ly switch to standby mode as soon as the light guide is detached. If the light out-
put has been set to 80 % or above, it automatically drops to 60 % the next time
the LED is switched on. This helps to preserve the LED, save energy, and prevent
dazzle.
If the temperature of the device starts to increase, which can occur due to a pro-
longed high ambient temperature, for example, a warning will appear on the dis-
play. The internal cooling system can compensate for a temperature increase for
approximately one hour; after this time, the device will switch off automatically to
prevent damage (see also section 2.2.5 Display of Faults).
