SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

EMS and the dealer of this product accept no
liability for direct or consequential injury or damage
resulting from improper use, arising in particular
through non-observance of the operating instruc-
tions, or improper preparation and maintenance.
Use for the intended purpose only: before
using the product, make sure that you have studied
the operating instructions. This also applies to
any equipment used with this product. Failure to
observe the operating instructions may result in
the patient or user suffering serious injury or the
product being damaged, possibly beyond repair.
Risk of explosion: do not use this product in
the presence of inflammable anaesthetics or gases.
No specific training other than initial profes-
sional training is required to use this medical device.
The practitioner is responsible for performing the
clinical treatments and for any dangers that may
arise due to a lack of skill and/or training.
Before each use, clean, disinfect and sterilize
the different pieces and accessories of this product.
Please refer to the information provided in the
operating instructions. Non-sterile pieces and
accessories may cause bacterial or viral infections.
Use only the powder recommended by EMS
for the subgingival application when the PERIO-
FLOW handpiece is connected to the unit. Any
other powder could cause premature wear of the
nozzle and would consequently increase the risk
of emphysema and damage to the unenameled
dentine.

être tenus responsables d'éventuels préjudices
directs et indirects résultant d'un emploi inadéquat
ou d'un maniement incorrect, en particulier lorsque
le mode d'emploi n'a pas été respecté ou lorsque la
préparation et l'entretien n'ont pas été correctement
effectués.
N'utiliser le produit que pour les applications
prévues: ce mode d'emploi doit être soigneusement
étudié avant l'utilisation. Ceci est également valable
pour tous les équipements pouvant être utilisés en
combinaison avec ce produit. Vous éviterez ainsi
tous risques de blessures et d'endommagement
de votre produit.
Risque d'explosion: ne pas utiliser ce produit
en présence d'anesthésiques ou de gaz inflam-
mables.
Aucune formation spécifique autre que la
formation professionnelle initiale n'est requise
pour utiliser ce dispositif médical. Le praticien
est responsable de l'exécution des traitements
cliniques et des dangers qui pourraient surgir
à cause d'un manque de compétence et/ou de
formation.
Avant chaque utilisation, nettoyer, désin-
fecter et stériliser les différentes pièces et acces-
soires de ce produit. Respecter pour cela les
indications correspondantes du mode d'emploi.
Des pièces et accessoires non stérilisés peuvent
être à l'origine d'infections bactériennes ou virales.
N'utilisez que la poudre recommandée par
EMS pour l'application subgingivale lorsque la
pièce à main PERIO-FLOW est connectée sur
l'appareil. Toute autre poudre engendrerait une
usure prématurée de la busette et augmenterait
par conséquent les risques d'emphysème et des
dommages à la dentine sans émail.

nicht für direkte Schäden und Folgeschäden, die
durch unsachgemässen Einsatz oder Handhabung
dieses Produktes auftreten, insbesondere durch
Nichtbeachtung der Bedienungsanleitung oder
durch unsachgemässe Vorbereitung oder Wartung.
Das Produkt darf nur für den vorgesehenen
Verwendungszweck eingesetzt werden: diese
Bedienungsanleitung ist vor dem Einsatz sorgfältig
zu lesen. Dies gilt gleichermassen für alle in Kombi-
nation mit diesem Gerät eingesetzten Produkte.
Bei Missachtung der Bedienungsanleitung besteht
die Gefahr von Personen- sowie möglicherweise
irreparablen Produktschäden.
Explosionsgefahr: verwenden Sie dieses
Produkt nicht in Gegenwart von entzündlichen
Anästhetika oder Gasen.
Ausser der beruflichen Erstausbildung ist
keine weitere Schulung für die Verwendung dieses
medizinischen Geräts erforderlich. Der Zahnarzt trägt
die Verantwortung für die Durchführung klinischer
Behandlungen und für Gefahren, die durch unzurei-
chende Kenntnisse und/oder Ausbildung entstehen.
Vor jedem Einsatz reinigen, desinfizieren
und sterilisieren Sie bitte Bestandteile und Zubehör
dieses Produktes. Beachten Sie dazu die entspre-
chenden Handhabungshinweise. Nicht sterilisierte
Bestandteile und Zubehör können zu einer Infektion
mit Bakterien oder Viren führen.
Verwenden Sie nur das von EMS empfohlene
Pulver für die subgingivale Anwendung, wenn
das PERIO-FLOW-Handstück an das Gerät
angeschlossen ist. Jedes andere Pulver würde
zu einer vorzeitigen Abnutzung der Düse führen
und somit das Risiko eines Emphysems oder
von Schäden am Dentin und Wurzelzement
verursachen.
